Cock Blocked...3 times!

I think everyone who knows Spurrier, the SEC or the gator team in general, knew this was going to be close. I'm sure all the gators wanted to win big, for style points, but that's not our team this year.

During certain parts of the game last night, I honestly felt like we were going to lose. And that SC's QB Blake Mitchell was better than Chris Leak. I also feel like South Carolina is on the verge of being a dominant team. Yes they have 5 losses, but not by much.

South Carolina lost to-
Auburn 24-17
Tennessee 31-24
Arkansas 26-20
Florida 17-16

They lost handidly to a Georgia team, that was more of a fluke on both parts teams.

On to the game.
I think it's time to go for a more traditional offense. Use playmakers in traditional roles and the offense will produce. Use Deshawn Wynn more, he is producing. Don't have a dumb call or penalty, and the offense can really move.

Props to the cock-blockers RayMac and J.Moss (had 2 blocks)

Here it is...I was maybe 25 ft from where this video was taken. It was loud!

On to other one loss teams. They all have had close wins, not just Florida!

Southern Cal
-lost to unranked Oregon State
-28-22 W v. Wash St
-26-20 W v. Wash
-28-21 W v. Ariz St

Arkansas
-lost big to USC
-21-19 W v. Vandy
-24-23 W v. Bama
-26-20 W v. South Carolina

Notre Dame
-lost big at home v. Mich
-14-10 W v. GT
-40-37 W v. Mich St
-20-17 W v. UCLA

For the rest of the schedule
-Next week gives our players a chance to heal and recover from SEC beatings.
-Then it's onto the instate rival FSU. Always tough.
-Afterwards, it's the SEC championship against Arkansas. The defense must be on fire.
- Finally, we are going bowling!

Florida is ranked 3 in every poll except the one that matters which is the BCS:

Is florida the 3rd best team in the nation? Probably not. The point is they lost by a very slim margin to a highly ranked team on the road. If you think double digits then you obviously didn't watch the game or know anything about the game.

Is the SEC overrated? Probably. But to argue that any other one loss teams in the nation would destroy in this conference save arkansas is completely retarded and there is no validity in any statement coming from this.

Yes USC did beat Arkansas at home by a godawful margin, but to say they were the best team in the SEC at the start of the season, well you are dumb. I guess everyone can just overlook oregon state. God forbid the PAC-10 have a championship game like the SEC.

Lets not forget that college football nowadays is fueled by the cash flow. Why would the SEC who has very low tuition costs create hard OOC schedules away from home when they can have many many schools play come to play them at home and generate tons of revenue. Those "cupcake" teams have nothing to lose and something to prove. Lets not forget Tennessee over CAL, our 9th best team in the conference went up to Ann Arbor and made the Wolverines look like a half-baked Big 10 team. Auburn shat on Washington state, whereas USC barely survived that one. LSU ran over Arizona, and Bama who is obviously completely awful beat Hawaii.

Basing your whole arguement on how a team does on their opening game is not very smart either.

If you think that winning point margins mean something then lets do a little flashback to the last time tOSU won the national championship (2002). 23-19 over cincinatti - i guess cincinatti was ranked pretty high then? 19-14 over WISCONSIN. 10-6 over Purdue who was (4-5) going into that game..wow what an offensive explosion. How about their 23-16 win in overtime against the fighting illini who is best known for basketball. Sorry to bring up the past but a win is a win chief and in case you didn't realize South Carolina is coached by the SS who is like 65 and 5 in the swamp.

-Ohio State beats illinois (2-9) by 7 points

-Michigan beats Ball state (3-7) by 8 points

Its funny how bad the SEC is when their winning % is 61 compared to 54% of the big 10 and 56% of the pac-10.

It's funny how this Florida team is held to a double-standard compared to other schools. USC has struggled against mediocre teams (Washington State, Washington, and Arizona State). However, to USC fans and the rest of the country, they're just "resiliant warriors". Florida beating Georgia, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina by a combined 14 points is "a joke". Notre Dame pulling off miracles against Michigan State and UCLA is "superior football".

Does anyone in college football not have a squeeker of a game or two? Hello! These are 18-23 year old kids playing football. You're going to make some mistakes week to week.

That's fine, when USC loses to Cal next week, we'll have everyone in the PAC-10 screaming about how hard their schedule is compared to Florida's.

Defense wins national championships.
